      Twenty-Four Seasons in a Bottle

Hibiki — the word means "resonance" — is where Suntory's blenders show off. Malt whiskies from Yamazaki and Hakushu are woven with grain whisky from Chita, then finished and married across a wardrobe of casks that can include mizunara oak, Japan's famously fragrant native wood. The signature 24-faceted bottle represents the 24 seasons of the traditional Japanese lunar calendar — a fitting emblem for a whisky built on harmony rather than any single cask or distillery. Japanese Harmony is the core expression: honey, candied orange peel, white chocolate, and a whisper of sandalwood. The older bottlings — 17, 21, and 30 Year — are among the most coveted blends on earth and surface only rarely.

Every Hibiki release is small against worldwide demand, and the aged expressions have become genuinely scarce. This page is where our allocation appears.

      Hibiki FAQs

      Is Hibiki an age-statement whisky?
Japanese Harmony is a no-age-statement blend, composed to a flavor target rather than a number. The 17, 21, and 30 Year editions state the minimum age of their components — and are priced and rationed accordingly.

Why is Hibiki 21 so expensive and rare?
Blends of that age depend on casks laid down decades ago, before anyone predicted the Japanese whisky boom. Those stocks are finite, demand is global, and Suntory releases them sparingly.

      How should I drink Hibiki?
Neat or with a single splash of water for the full aromatic range. In Japan it is also served as a meticulous highball over clear ice — the Harmony expression was practically designed for it.
