Most distilleries bake agave 12–24 hours; Tres Rios gives it 36 — then ferments on a tight 24–48-hour clock and cuts to proof with artesian well water. The Wine Enthusiast panel (85–89 pts) found a distinctive profile: pickle and olive brine, burnt match and gunpowder on the nose; a semisweet, tobacco-like entry with honeyed, caramel notes; a midpalate of toffee, nougat and peanut butter as the oak comes through; and a briny, medium-sweet finish.
