Pere Labat Organic Blanc Still Strength Rum
Pere Labat Organic Blanc Still Strength Rum is a Serie Limitee rhum blanc agricole bio from Distillerie Poisson on Marie-Galante, Guadeloupe, distilled from hand-harvested organic sugarcane in copper Creole column stills and bottled straight off the column at 71.2% ABV in a 700mL bottle with no reduction at all. Still strength is rare in agricole, and this limited bottling shows the spirit exactly as it condenses: dense, oily and almost chewable. It is available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor.

Agricole Exactly As It Leaves the Still
Poisson's spirit comes off its Creole columns between 69% and 71% ABV, and most blancs are then rested and reduced with demineralized water. The Organic Serie Limitee skips that step entirely — organic cane, hand-harvested on the 1,300-acre Marie-Galante estate, bottled at a full 71.2%. Importer PM Spirits describes flavors and textures 'dialed up to eleven', with lime, ginger and spice over the raw cane power. Tasting Notes
Packed with green cane, ripe tropical fruit and a wave of fermentation funk, with hints of lime, ginger and spice before a long, peppery finish. Dense and oily in texture.

Is the cane really organic?
Yes — this Serie Limitee bottling is made from certified organic ('bio'), hand-harvested estate cane, as stated on the label.
Why 71.2% ABV?
It is bottled at still strength with no reduction, so the proof is simply where this run condensed off the Creole column.
How is it different from Les Mangles?
Les Mangles is a single-parcel, single-cane bottling at 70.7%; the Organic is the estate's organic cane at 71.2%. Both are unaged, unreduced blancs from Poisson.
