LALO Blanco High Proof Tequila 2026
LALO Blanco High Proof Tequila 2026 is the 2026 limited edition of LALO's high-strength blanco — a 96-proof (48% ABV), 750mL unaged tequila from Arandas in Los Altos de Jalisco (NOM 1468), made from just three ingredients: fully mature Blue Weber agave, deep well water, and Champagne yeast, with nothing added — available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor, San Diego, CA.
LALO was founded by Eduardo "Lalo" González — grandson of Don Julio González — and David R. Carballido as a return to tequila's purest form: blanco only, additive-free, built on fully mature Highland agave cooked in brick ovens, roller-mill extraction, open-air fermentation with Champagne yeast, and two distillations in copper pot stills. Where the standard LALO Blanco Tequila is bottled at 80 proof, the annual High Proof edition shows the same spirit at full strength — more concentrated, more viscous, and built for drinkers who want the agave uncut. The 2026 edition is the third release in the series, following the original 108-proof bottling and the 2025 distilled-to-proof edition at 100 proof.
Tasting notes: intense roasted agave and green vegetal notes on the nose with jalapeño, mint, white pepper, and subtle minerality; a full-bodied, silky palate of cooked agave, olive brine, and fresh herbs; a long, clean finish where agave sweetness, peppery spice, and a touch of salinity linger.
Why buy: high-proof blancos hold their own in spirit-forward cocktails and reward neat sipping — see how it stacks up against the G4 Blanco Tequila 108 Proof and the Chamucos Diablo Blanco Tequila, browse the full tequila collection, or read our blanco tequila guide for the high-proof shelf in context.
