The Hibiki Japanese Harmony Chiso Limited Edition Japanese Whisky 2026 unites two icons of Japanese artistry: Hibiki's celebrated blended whisky and Chiso, the Kyoto kimono house founded in 1555. For this collectible 2026 limited edition, Hibiki's iconic 24-faceted bottle — each facet representing one of Japan's 24 traditional micro-seasons — is reimagined with Chiso's bespoke floral design, and the whisky inside is the luminous Hibiki Japanese Harmony blend of Yamazaki and Hakushu malts with Chita grain whisky. Bottled at 43% ABV.

  • ABV: 43% (86 proof)
  • Size: 700mL
  • Origin: Japan
  • Blend: Yamazaki and Hakushu malt whiskies with Chita grain whisky
  • Design: Chiso (Kyoto, est. 1555) Kyo-Yuzen floral artwork on bottle and box
  • Release: 2026 limited edition

A Kimono House Dresses an Icon

Chiso has practiced Kyo-Yuzen — a hand-dyeing technique that makes silk kimonos read like paintings — for nearly 470 years. Its design for this bottle layers jewel-toned motifs drawn from Japan's changing seasons: tachibana (evergreen citrus) for enduring prosperity, kiri (paulownia) for good fortune and nobility, sakura (cherry blossom) for renewal, and ume (plum blossom) with tsubaki (camellia) for longevity — set in gold, crimson, emerald, indigo and soft blush across both the bottle and its presentation box. It is a natural canvas for Hibiki, whose blends are built the same way: many elements, harmonized. Compare it with the classic Hibiki Japanese Harmony Whisky in its standard dress, and with the pinnacle of the range, the Hibiki 21 Year Old Japanese Whisky.

Tasting Notes

Rose, lychee and a hint of rosemary on the nose, with mature woodiness and sandalwood beneath. The palate is honey-sweet with candied orange peel and white chocolate, finishing subtle and tender with the incense-like whisper of Mizunara — Japanese oak — that signs every Hibiki blend.

How to Enjoy

Neat in a stemmed glass to follow the aromatics, or the Japanese way: a highball over clear ice with soda, which lifts the floral top notes the Chiso artwork celebrates. However you pour it, this is a bottle that will not stay on the shelf — in either sense. Browse the wider shelf in our Japanese whisky collection.

Frequently Asked Questions

What whisky is inside the Chiso edition?
The same Hibiki Japanese Harmony blend as the standard bottling — a harmony of Yamazaki and Hakushu single malts with Chita grain whisky, bottled at 43% ABV. The limited edition is defined by Chiso's bespoke bottle and box design.

Who is Chiso?
A Kyoto kimono house founded in 1555 and one of Japan's oldest family-run makers, renowned for Kyo-Yuzen hand-dyed silk. The 2026 collaboration also produced a monumental kimono installation celebrating both houses' shared dedication to nature, time and artistry.

What do the flowers on the bottle mean?
Each motif is symbolic: tachibana for enduring prosperity, paulownia for good fortune and nobility, cherry blossom for renewal, and plum blossom and camellia for longevity and timeless vitality.

Is this a limited edition?
Yes — the Hibiki Japanese Harmony Chiso is a collectible 2026 limited-edition design release. This item is available to pre-order online at Del Mesa Liquor.
