The Texas straight bourbon spends four years in toasted and charred new white American oak under the Hill Country heat, then four more years in first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry casks from Spain: eight years in total. The Ranch Reserve Series is Garrison Brothers' finishing-cask project: take the distillery's four-year-old Texas bourbon, move it into exceptional casks, and track it month after month, bottling only what comes together true. The blended PX release drew on thousands of bottles' worth of barrels — but fourteen PX barrels had too much depth and structure to disappear into a blend, so they were bottled individually at full proof for the October 2026 single barrel release. Tasting Notes
Dark and decadent: blackberry and blueberry cobbler, cinnamon streusel and maple syrup over barrel char on the nose. The palate runs to blackberry reduction, molasses, raisins, figs and toffee, with the PX cask's candied-fruit sweetness wrapped around the leathery Texas bourbon backbone. The finish is long and luxurious — blackberry tart, dark chocolate and chewy charred oak, at full barrel proof.
