Casa Limonio Alloro Sicilian Laurel Liqueur
Casa Limonio Alloro Sicilian Laurel Liqueur is an unfiltered bay laurel liqueur from Limònio, the family liqueur house founded in 1992 by Vincenzo Russo in Partinico, in Sicily’s Conca d’Oro valley west of Palermo, bottled at 35% ABV in a 700mL bottle. Aurea “Golden” bay leaves are harvested in the early morning to hold their aromatic oils, infused in stainless steel and blended with the family’s own organic grape distillate, water and sugar — nothing else, and nothing filtered out, so the natural oils give the bottle its luminous green. It is available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor.

Sicily’s Ancient Laurel, Bottled Unfiltered
The Russo family has farmed fruit, grapes and herbs in the Conca d’Oro for two centuries, and Limònio — Sicily’s first commercial limoncello house — now makes thirteen liqueurs from old family recipes, all with organic estate grape distillate and no filtration, so the oils that color the bottle stay in the glass. Alloro celebrates laurel’s ancient culinary and medicinal place in Sicily. Browse more Italian liqueurs and digestivi among our spirits at Del Mesa.
Tasting Notes
Savory bay leaf up front, vivid and green, then earthy undertones and gentle spice over a silky, oil-rich texture. The finish is fresh and resinous, more herb garden than dessert.
How to Enjoy
Serve it ice cold as a digestif after a rich meal, top it with sparkling wine as an aperitivo, or use it as a savory modifier in a French 75 or Gin Fizz. See more cocktail modifiers at Del Mesa Liquor.
