Blue Run Blueprint Series Bourbon Whiskey is the new flagship Kentucky straight bourbon from Blue Run Spirits of Georgetown, Kentucky, blended by Shaylyn Gammon, the brand’s Head of Whiskey and Innovation, and bottled at 105 proof (52.5% ABV) in a 750mL bottle. The blend joins two mashbills that lived at opposite ends of the rickhouse: a wheated bourbon aged on the top floor, where heat drives faster extraction and woody heat, and the experimental “Founders’ Mash” — 80% corn, 15% rye, 5% malted barley — laid down in the brand’s earliest days and aged on the lower floors for a fruit-forward depth. Gammon built Blueprint as a foundation the brand can explore from — approachable and soft, yet layered enough to keep rewarding a curious drinker. Tasting Notes

Soft florals and orchard fruit on the nose. The palate brings warm baking spice, juicy apple and cinnamon, and the finish lands on toasted oak and lingering spice with a touch of dry wood heat. Drinkhacker’s review found banana cream, vanilla custard and florals and rated it A-.
