Yellow Rose Premium American Whiskey
Yellow Rose Premium American Whiskey comes from Houston's first legal whiskey distillery — an 80-proof (40% ABV) pot-distilled blend aged in small oak barrels, built for Texas heat and humidity. Named for the folk heroine of Texas, this 750mL bottle is a smooth, slightly sweet American whiskey with a fuller body than typical Canadian-style blends. It is available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor, San Diego, CA.

Houston's First Legal Whiskey Distillery
Yellow Rose Distilling was founded in 2010 by a group of friends who set out to make whiskey in Houston — a city whose heat and humidity drive fast, intense oak interaction in small barrels. The Premium American is the flagship: officially described as a pot-distilled blend, "fuller in flavor than typical Canadian blends due to a higher bourbon content." The distillery publishes no mash bill, so we print no mash bill — the glass speaks for itself.
Tasting Notes
The nose is light and fruity — banana with caramel. The palate is sweet with banana and caramel notes; the finish is medium and gently sweet. Official copy calls it "a perfect mix of southern charm and rustic cowboy style."
How to Enjoy
Pour it neat or on the rocks as an easy-drinking Texas whiskey, or use it as a smooth base in highballs. It pairs naturally with other American whiskey picks and the rest of Yellow Rose's Houston-made lineup.
