Forty-Six Years in the Making
The Remarkable Stills Series honors the distillery's one-of-a-kind straight-neck pot stills — Loch Lomond is the only distillery in Scotland that uses them. This second of three releases came from a single 1974 cask laid down before most of us were born, spending four and a half decades in American oak before its sherry-cask finish. Tasting Notes
Nose — toffee and caramelised sugar, peach, mango, vanilla syrup, a rose note. Palate — pear, orange peel, sweet melted brown sugar, dried fruits of raisins and sultanas, cinnamon and clove. Finish — long, gooseberry and lime with warming nutmeg and a final toffee sweetness (official distillery notes via the release announcement).
