A Century-Old Solera Meets Kansas City Bourbon
The Monogram label was J. Rieger & Co.'s flagship before Prohibition, and the modern Monogram series is a passion project: every few years, a new whiskey finished in the same four nearly century-old 500-liter Oloroso sherry botas — casks drawn from the actual solera of Williams & Humbert's Dry Sack 15-year Oloroso Especial and shipped to Kansas City. For 2022, co-founder Ryan Maybee and the team went a new direction: straight bourbon whiskey, aged up to ten and a half years, then rested in those historic casks.
