Winter, Bottled
Fuyu is Japanese for "winter" — and the label's "Artisinal" spelling is the bottle's own charming quirk, not a typo on the shelf tag. The whisky behind it is a small-batch blend assembled from distilleries across Honshu and brought to market through French spirits house BBC Spirits, the same partner behind the Hinotori revival. Among Japanese whiskies, it sits in the approachable blended camp: soft, floral, and built for the everyday pour rather than the collector's shelf.
Tasting Notes
Floral and honeyed on the nose with cooked fruit. The palate is gentle — caramel, light oak and orchard fruit — with just a breath of smoke at the edges, finishing soft and clean.
How to Enjoy
Neat or on the rocks for the full floral character; it also makes a delicate highball. Its softness suits quiet sipping more than bold cocktails.
