Be The Ball: Golf Culture in a Bottle
Bushwood Spirits takes its name from the dysfunctional country club of the cult golf comedy Caddyshack, and every bottle leans into the theme — Longball is the bourbon line, named for the shot every golfer wants in their arsenal. Founded by Brad Carpenter in 2016 with the first bottle sold in October 2021, Bushwood tops its bottles with a heavy metal golf ball and sources classic-style Kentucky bourbon: at 7 years, Longball sits in the sweet spot for a single barrel release, balanced enough for any mood. Tasting Notes
The nose opens with toasted caramel, butterscotch candies, and soft oak nuances — delicate and floral, drinking lighter than 100 proof. The first sip brings a smooth, creamy honey texture with vanilla undertones carrying throughout. The finish is medium to long, with butterscotch and vanilla lingering over a silky, viscous mouthfeel.
How to Enjoy
The 100-proof bottled-in-bond strength is built to dictate your own adventure: neat for the full honeyed weight, or over a single cube to open the caramel and oak. Classic-style enough for an old fashioned that needs real backbone.
