Riazul Reposado Tequila
Riazul Reposado Tequila is a 40% ABV (80 proof), 750mL reposado rested nine months in French and American oak at Compania Tequilera de Arandas (NOM 1460) in Arandas, Jalisco. The agave is 100% Blue Weber from the same estate highlands as the rest of the Riazul line — red volcanic soil at roughly 7,200 feet on land the Orozco family has farmed for more than 200 years — double distilled, then given a long reposado rest that keeps the agave bright under the oak. Sweet agave, pineapple and vanilla on the nose; pepper, florals, citrus, caramel and butterscotch on the palate. It is available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor.
