The World's First Mezquila
Santo Mezquila was Hagar's return to agave spirits after the Cabo Wabo sale — his vision was something totally different, made with traditional techniques that let the agave shine with only a light smoke essence. The blend took a full year of samples to get right: the bold, agave-forward signature of Santo blanco tequila layered with a pronounced but not overbearing essence of smoke from the Oaxacan joven mezcal. Tasting Notes
Intense agave aroma with earthy, light smokiness and a hint of herbs on the nose. The palate finds lime, mesquite, and grilled pork belly over a round, crisp, medium body, with a warming medium-length finish of grilled sweet peppers, gentle smoke, and a slight floral fruitiness.
