The Rarest Corner of the House of Hennessy
Created in 1979 by sixth-generation Master Blender Maurice Fillioux, Paradis is drawn from the cellar that gives it its name — the Paradis cellar, where Hennessy keeps its rarest and oldest eaux-de-vie resting in glass demijohns once they have reached their peak. More than 100 individual eaux-de-vie, some aged for up to 130 years in very old oak casks, are selected not for quantity but for the harmony they create together. Shen's design for the 2027 edition draws directly on that world: the flowing forms around the goat mirror the movement of the eaux-de-vie in the blend, and the woven texture is a tribute to the demijohns themselves. Tasting Notes
Per Hennessy: a deep amber gold colour. The nose is floral and delicate — jasmine and honeysuckle over cinnamon and exotic fruit. The palate is graceful and silky, with dried fruit, honey and warm spice unfolding slowly, and the finish is flavourful, deep and persistent.
