Bedford Park 13 Year Old Fiji Single Barrel Rum is a single-barrel rum from independent bottler Bedford Park, distilled in Fiji in 2012 and bottled in 2025 at cask strength, 61.7% ABV (123.4 proof), in a 700mL bottle. The rum — from the South Pacific Distillery in Lautoka, Fiji’s only distillery — spent the majority of its life in the United Kingdom in once-used bourbon barrel No. 21 and yielded just 241 bottles, non-chill filtered with no additives. Bedford Park released it as the counterpart to its 19-year Fiji: where the older cask is refined, this younger distillate carries a lot more funk. It is available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor.

Fiji’s Raw and Powerful Side

South Pacific makes pot still rum from molasses with a high-ester, tropical, funky style that has earned it a cult following — and independent bottlers have been the main way American drinkers get to taste it at full strength. Raising Glasses, who bring Bedford Park into the United States, call this cask an exceptional reflection of the distillery and the more raw, powerful Fiji so many drinkers have been yearning for. Thirteen years with most of that time aging in the UK kept the spirit’s edge while the once-used bourbon barrel rounded it. The label art, like the rest of this release series, is a vivid illustrated scene over the black Bedford Park band. Find more cult single casks in our rum collection.

Tasting Notes

High-ester tropical funk up front — overripe fruit, brine and solvent brightness — over an oily palate of dried fruit, vanilla, pepper and light oak, finishing long and vivid. A splash of water opens it up considerably, as the bottler recommends.

How to Enjoy

Neat with a splash of water, rested in the glass — at 61.7% it unfolds slowly. It also stands up in a bold Mai Tai or Jet Pilot; stock the build from our cocktail ingredients and explore more Pacific and Caribbean casks across our spirits shelves.
