It is available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor.

Eleven Months — Nearly the Whole Allowance

Reposado means rested, and Nicho Real rests this one almost as long as the law allows: 11 months in white oak in Amatitan, the historic tequila town behind NOM 1459. Producer-line copy describes the brand as an extremely traditional tequila made in honour of an emblematic figure of the town — the long rest is the tradition showing. Climb the range on the Nicho Real vendor page, start unaged with the Nicho Real Blanco, or browse the reposado shelves.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Woody, caramel-like aromas with baked agave, cassia bark and a touch of chilli. Palate: Butterscotch and caramel with soft wood smoke, cedar, pipe tobacco, agave and dried herbs. Finish: Oaky, with cocoa powder and orange rind.

How to Enjoy

Neat or on a large cube — the 11-month rest gives it anejo-adjacent depth — and it makes a richer Paloma or Ranch Water than any blanco can.
