G4 Reposado Tequila comes from fourth-generation maestro tequilero Felipe Camarena at Destileria El Pandillo (NOM 1579) in Jesus Maria, Los Altos, Jalisco — the same distillery behind G4's cult blancos. Rested at least six months in old George Dickel Tennessee whiskey barrels, it is bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof) in 750mL: 100% Blue Weber agave, estate-grown in the highlands, additive-free. It's available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor, San Diego, CA.

  • Award: Gold, 2022 TAG Global Spirits Awards (Las Vegas)

The Camarena Family's Reposado

The "G4" stands for the fourth generation of the family behind Tapatío and El Tesoro — and Felipe Camarena's reposado is deliberately light on the oak and full on the agave. The brand's own notes promise hints of peach and licorice on the nose, small hints of grapefruit and lighter pepper on the palate, and a complex but pleasant sipping finish. Community tasters agree: cooked agave forward, black pepper, vanilla and caramel. Browse tequila or the full G4 Tequila lineup at Del Mesa.

Tasting Notes

Per brand and TAG Global notes: nose of peach and licorice; palate of grapefruit, light pepper, vanilla and caramel over cooked agave; finish complex and pleasant. Light oak influence lets the agave speak.

How to Enjoy

Sip neat to taste the oak-and-agave fusion, or over a large ice cube. It also elevates a Reposado Margarita or a Tequila Old Fashioned.

Perfect Experience

I had been searching for a bottle of G$ Reposado for over a year. It is not available in my state. Even a cruise to Mexico yielded nothing. Then I head about Del Mesa on the Tequila Subreddit and immediately placed my order. They shipped it quick and Larry in Customer Service helped me when FedEx misplaced the bottle for a few days. Del Mesa is wonderful! Thanks again!
