G4 Blanco Tequila is a 750mL blanco bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof), made from 100% Blue Weber agave at Destileria El Pandillo in Jesus Maria, Los Altos, Jalisco — NOM 1579 — under fourth-generation distiller Felipe Camarena. The agave is slow-cooked in stone ovens, crushed by the distillery's handmade mechanical tahona, fermented with the family's own yeast and distilled twice in copper pot stills, then proofed with a 50/50 mix of captured rainwater and spring water from the ranch. It is bottled unaged and, per the importer, made with no additives. It is available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor.

Four Generations, Rainwater and a Tahona Named Felipestein

G4 stands for four generations of Camarenas making tequila at El Pandillo, where Felipe Camarena runs one of Mexico's most admired traditional distilleries. The blanco's character starts with its water — half captured rainwater, half spring water from the ranch — and its crush: a handmade mechanical tahona the family calls Felipestein does the work a mule-drawn stone once did. The result is the purest read on Los Altos agave in the range. Explore the brand on the G4 Tequila vendor page, or browse our tequila collection.

Tasting Notes

Per the brand and importer: spicy and peppery with a silky texture and delicate minerality derived from the agave and the rain-and-spring water; cooked agave and black pepper soften toward a light, clean finish.

How to Enjoy

Sip it neat at room temperature — this is a blanco built for purists — or let its pepper and minerality carry a ranch water. More highland blancos are in our spirits collection.

New Kid on the Block!

Young, but ALL full-bodied Agave! Great flavor...spicy, little heat and lots of depth. Recommended.
