The Barrel Is the Point
Most reposados rest in whatever oak is at hand; El Pintor's Barrel Select exists because the brand went looking for a specific barrel — new French oak from the Allier forest, built by Nadalie, one of France's storied cooperages — and kept sourcing until the wood matched the tequila. The brand calls it the finest tequila it has ever made. Browse the El Pintor collection, more reposado tequila, and the full tequila range.
Tasting Notes
Vanilla and caramel over roasted agave, with toasted French oak, honeyed dried fruit and a light baking-spice warmth through the finish.
How to Enjoy
Sip neat at room temperature to let the French oak speak, or pour over one large cube; the 84 proof also holds up beautifully in a reposado Old Fashioned.
