Bardstown Bourbon Company Plantation Rum Finish Bourbon Whiskey
104 proof (52% ABV) | 750mL | 10-year-old Tennessee bourbon | 22 months rum-barrel finish — the Bardstown Bourbon Company Collaborative Series: Plantation Rum Finish takes 10-year-old Tennessee bourbon — 84% corn, 8% rye, 8% malted barley — and finishes it for 22 months in Plantation Rum Xayamaca barrels, the Jamaican expression blended and finished by Maison Ferrand, the Cognac house.
The Collaborative Series pairs Bardstown's bourbon with producers across wine, beer, and spirits, and the Plantation edition was its first rum-finished release. The Jamaican Xayamaca barrels layer tropical fruit and warm spice over the mature Tennessee bourbon: orange peel, allspice, and cinnamon on the nose, banana bread and rich caramel through the palate, molasses, toffee, roasted nuts, and dried pineapple on a long, balanced fruit-and-spice finish. Positioned as a luxurious summer sipper — available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor in San Diego, CA.
