A Highland Malt Meets Graham's Port Pipes
Port Wood Reserve celebrates The Dalmore's long-standing relationship with Graham's Port Lodge in Portugal. The whisky makers divide the bourbon-cask-matured malt: half rests in Graham's aged tawny port pipes while the rest continues in bourbon wood, and the two halves are then brought back together — Highland spirit and Douro fruit in one glass. Tasting Notes
Per the producer: sweet red berries, Seville oranges, plummy fruit and sticky toffee pudding on the aroma; nectarines, creamy caramel, roasted chestnuts and Java coffee on the palate; and a finish of rich plums, sultanas, Sanguinello blood oranges and macerated cherries.
How to Enjoy
Neat, where the port fruit sits on top of the malt, or with a splash of water to open the blood orange and toffee. More port-finished malts are in our Scotch whisky collection.
