84 proof (42% ABV) | 750mL | 17 years old | Principal Collection core range — The Dalmore 17 Year Old is the Highland distillery's newest permanent expression: a 17-year-old single malt Scotch whisky that fills the gap between the 15 and the 18 in the Principal Collection, and the most sherry-cask-driven of the three. Initial maturation in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels is followed by finishing in a trio of rare sherry casks from González Byass in Jerez, Spain — Amoroso, Apostoles, and Matusalem Oloroso.

Each cask plays a role, per the distillery's whisky makers: Apostoles brings structure, depth, and savoury complexity; Amoroso bridges savoury and sweet for harmony and balance; Matusalem Oloroso adds weight, roundness, and lingering sweetness. The official profile: nose of Seville orange, rich orchard fruit, and wood spice; palate of poached pears, forest berries, sweet toffee, and orange marmalade; a long, warming finish of dark chocolate orange, rich dried fruit, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Presented in the signature silhouette bottle with the 12-point Royal Stag emblem, in a vivid-purple magnetic-closure gift box. Launched in the UK in January 2026 and rolled out to the US in June 2026 — available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor.

Frequently asked questions

What sherry casks are used?
Amoroso, Apostoles, and Matusalem Oloroso from González Byass in Jerez — each chosen for structure, balance, and weight respectively.

Is this a limited edition?
No — it's a permanent addition to the Principal Collection, unlike one-off Dalmore releases.
