Mount Gay Exceptionally Aged 15 Year Old Rum
43% ABV (86 proof) | 700mL | Minimum 15 years | Non-chill filtered — Mount Gay Exceptionally Aged 15YO is the minimum-age-statement expression in the new Exceptionally Aged Collection: Mount Gay's first age-statement line, launched June 2026 and succeeding the Master Blender Collection. A blend of rums at least 15 years old, matured exclusively in ex-American oak Bourbon casks and limited to just 4,942 bottles worldwide — everything distilled, aged, blended, and bottled at the Mount Gay distillery in St. Lucy, Barbados, with no added sugar or flavoring.
Where the 25YO is a single 1999 vintage, the 15YO is a minimum-age blend — the rum laid down under former Master Blenders Jerry Edwards and Allen Smith, with the final blend crafted by current Master Blender Trudiann Branker in 2025. It shares the collection's deep ocean-blue and cream livery with embossed waves and gold foil, and like its older sibling it is non-chill filtered — available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor in San Diego, CA.
Tasting notes
The brand's notes: aroma of zesty grapefruit, buttery pastry, banana, vanilla, plum, caramel, and cinnamon; palate of butterscotch, vanilla, caramel, orange zest, cocoa nibs, red plum, banana, citrus, and red grapes, with a surprising touch of sea salt; a medium, rounded finish. Dark gold in color.

Frequently asked questions
Is the 15YO a single vintage like the 25YO?
No — the 25YO is a single-batch 1999 vintage; the 15YO is a minimum-age blend of rums at least 15 years old. They are distinct expressions.
Does this replace Mount Gay XO or 1703?
That continuity claim is unconfirmed. The Exceptionally Aged Collection officially succeeds the Master Blender Collection; XO was a separate non-age-statement tier.
How many bottles were made?
Only 4,942 bottles worldwide.
