Ledaig Triple Wood Limited Edition Single Malt Scotch Whisky
53.8% ABV (107.6 proof) | Natural cask strength | No age statement | Peated single malt | Isle of Mull, Scotland — Ledaig Triple Wood is a limited-edition marriage of three peated Ledaig whiskies, each matured in a different cask — ex-bourbon, Rioja wine, and tawny Port — selected by master blender Julieann Fernandez and bottled at hearty natural cask strength, non-chill-filtered with no added colouring.
Ledaig is the peated single malt of Tobermory Distillery on the Isle of Mull, and Triple Wood (released early 2024) layers peat smoke over three wine-and-spirit casks: the bourbon barrels bring creamy vanilla sweetness, the Rioja casks add red-fruit depth, and the tawny Port casks round it out with dried-fruit richness. Created in partnership with the distillery's Island Ambassador, wildlife filmmaker Gordon Buchanan — a Mull native whose photography inspired the label artwork — with £2 from every bottle donated to the Mull and Iona Community Trust to restore Ardura Forest. A Gold winner at the International Spirits Challenge in both 2024 and 2026 — available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor.
Tasting notes
Per Tobermory Distillery: nose of sweet poached pears dusted with cinnamon, creamy butterscotch, and American cream soda; a palate opening with apple strudel and vanilla ice cream, balanced by cracked black pepper, wood smoke, toasted oak, and treacle toffee; a lingering smoky finish with cloves and a touch of maple syrup. "A bold, complex dram with its combination of peat smoke, creamy sweetness, and spicy oak." Polished mahogany in the glass.

Frequently asked questions
What are the three woods?
Ex-bourbon barrels, Rioja wine casks, and tawny Port casks (the Rioja and tawny-Port specifics are retailer-sourced; the distillery lists "Bourbon, Port and Wine").
How peaty is it?
Noticeably peated — peat smoke is central to the profile — but no PPM figure has been published, so we don't print one.
Does it have an age statement?
No — the distillery lists it as No Age Statement.
