Dom Perignon Rose Vintage 2010 represents the culmination of a decade of creative effort aimed at transforming the expression of Dom Perignon Rose toward greater Pinot Noir radicality. Born of a demanding harvest, the lowest temperatures since 1996, winter frosts and a cool spring, then a hot dry summer broken by two months of rain in two days, with botrytis attacking the Pinot Noir, it is the fruit of a successful harvesting gamble, saved by rigorous parcel selection and sorting. Nearly 15 years of slow cellar transformation followed. Hirst's warm pink Kaleidoscope pattern expresses that Pinot Noir character, tensioned between harmony and complexity. Tasting Notes
"Strikingly intense, precise. Also delicate, dense and silky," everything integrated within the wine, "like reconciled, a mastery of opposites."
