The 2025 Colonel E.H. Taylor Jr. Bottled in Bond continues the legacy of Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor Jr., one of bourbon’s founding fathers and a key advocate for the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897. Produced at Buffalo Trace Distillery, this bourbon is crafted in accordance with the Act’s requirements:
- Type: Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
- Age: 7+ years (NAS, but bonded regulations require minimum 4 years)
- ABV/Proof: 50% ABV / 100 proof
- Mashbill: Buffalo Trace Mashbill No. 1 (high corn, low rye)
- Certification: Bottled-in-Bond (single distillery, single season, aged minimum 4 years, bottled at 100 proof)
Tasting Notes (2025 Release)
- Nose: Caramel, butterscotch, toasted oak, dried fruit, and light spice
- Palate: Sweet vanilla, honey, baking spice, tobacco, and hints of citrus peel
