Woodford Reserve Double Oaked — Twice-Barreled Kentucky Bourbon

Woodford Reserve Double Oaked is a Kentucky straight bourbon finished in a second oak barrel — bottled at 90.4 proof (45.2% ABV), 750mL. A richer, deeper take on the classic Woodford Reserve from the historic Woodford Reserve Distillery in Versailles, Kentucky.

After full maturation in new charred oak, Double Oaked is transferred to a second barrel that is deeply toasted before a light char — a process that extracts extra soft, sweet oak character. The result is a bourbon of remarkable depth: dark fruit, caramel, and chocolate layered over Woodford's signature spice. A 2023 Double Gold medalist at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Best bourbon, PERIOD

I had probably the only person who could inform of best bourbons around. My Father, he and his buddies were career Air. Force Vets they all were lifers in the AirForce which gave him an opportunity to taste worldwide the best bourbons around, whether they were in Europe or Asia the tried them all. Woodford Reserve Double Oaked was his best so started drinking it when I went to Subic Bay, PI during Vietnam. Forest bourbon, smooth as silk no throat burn especially with an amazing cigar. Try it you’ll feel the same if you know good bourbon.

Ordered Bourbon online for the first time!

In order to avoid going to the liquor store during the Great Pause I opted to order online from Del Mesa. The process was easy. Was able to find some of my favorites and couple I’ve never had before. Had hoped to get some hard to find ones but they were all sold out :-( Shipping wasn’t cheap but was not crazy either - well worth the convenience of not having to go out and get them. Works best if you order a few bottles. My order arrived with 6 days - well packed and safe. I will be ordering more soon - may bring a few buddies in on the ordering too!
