High toast extracts more caramel and wood sugars; the light flash char preserves the toasted sweetness instead of burying it in charcoal smoke. The base is the classic Jack mash bill — 80% corn, 12% malted barley, 8% rye — charcoal-mellowed drop by drop through the Lincoln County Process. Then the toasted barrel takes over: soft oak, vanilla, and graham cracker with warm honey on the nose; rich waves of vanilla, marshmallow, and toffee with toasted grain, cinnamon, dark caramel, and charred marshmallow on the palate; a lingering finish of brown sugar, warm and full-bodied, with silky barrel char (official distillery copy).
