The distillery — owned by Adelphi, opened July 2014 on the most westerly point of the British mainland — built its name on the AD/04:02-style peated/unpeated vattings, and the 10 Year Old is that house style with a decade of age behind it. The glass is mouth-coating: custard creams, vanilla wafer, brine, and porridge oats over earthy smoke, with a finish where the smoke lingers, maritime and warming.
