Mi Casa Blanco Tequila is a 91-proof (45.5% ABV) 750mL blanco with an almost unheard-of backstory: distilled in 2011, it rested ten years in covered stainless steel tanks at full batch proof (54.5% ABV), then was proofed down and rested nearly two more years in glass. Made from estate-grown Blue Weber agave at El Cucuno, Michoacán and distilled at Casa Tequilera de Arandas (NOM 1499) in Jalisco, it is additive-free — agave, yeast and water, nothing else. It is available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor, San Diego, CA.

A Blanco Twelve Years in the Making

Most blancos go from still to bottle in weeks. Mi Casa took the opposite path: the 2011 distillate conditioned for a decade in neutral stainless at full strength, letting the spirit settle and deepen without ever touching wood, then rested in glass after proofing. The brand says future releases will never repeat this extended rest — making this a genuinely once-in-a-lifetime batch. Tasting Notes

Expect a robust, full-bodied blanco — sweet cooked agave and anise up front with mineral notes, lemongrass and orange zest, white pepper and a soft peppermint lift; the palate is thick and oily with a clean, sweet-peppery finish.

How to Enjoy

Sip neat at full 91 proof to taste what a decade of rest does to a blanco, or pour it into a top-shelf margarita — it has the structure to stand up to citrus and curaçao.

Frequently Asked Questions

What proof is Mi Casa Blanco?

Is Mi Casa Blanco really aged 12 years?
Distilled in 2011, it rested 10 years in stainless steel tanks at batch proof, then nearly 2 more years in glass after proofing — never in wood, so it stays a blanco.

Does Mi Casa Blanco have additives?
No — the brand states it is made from only three ingredients: agave, yeast and water.
