From the Stage to the Still
After decades of touring the world with Maná, drummer Alex "El Animal" Gonzalez set out to bottle the culture of Jalisco itself. The agave for Mala Vida grows high in Los Altos, where altitude concentrates flavor, then rests in French and American oak to pick up vanilla, caramel and spice. The result has earned its stripes on the competition circuit — Silver at the 2019 San Francisco World Spirits Competition and Platinum plus Innovation honors at the SIP Awards.

Nose: Fresh agave and vanilla, with ripe fruit and a cinnamon lift. Palate: Buttery caramel and gentle spice — vanilla, butterscotch and cherry with a great kick of heat. Finish: Sweet orange peel and marzipan, long and rounded.
