Corralejo Blanco Tequila
Corralejo Blanco Tequila — sold as Corralejo Silver on the brand's US site — is a 40% ABV (80 proof), 750mL unaged blanco from Hacienda Corralejo in Penjamo, Guanajuato: 100% estate Blue Weber agave, double distilled in the Charentais method and bottled fresh in-house, pure and clear. This is the estate's agave with nothing between you and it — white and pink peppercorn, mint and sweet spearmint over cooked agave. It is available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor.

The Estate's Agave, Unadorned
Founder Don Leonardo is said to call the blanco "The Truth," because nothing hides in an unaged tequila — the agave, the roast and the stills either deliver or they don't. At Corralejo the inputs are all estate-controlled: Blue Weber from high-altitude volcanic fields at Hacienda Corralejo — Miguel Hidalgo's 1753 birthplace — slow-roasted in traditional clay ovens and distilled in copper pot and column stills from Tomelloso, Spain, then bottled in glass blown on site. The result is the reference point for the whole range: what the reposado rests and the anejo builds on. Tasting Notes
Colour: Pure and clear. Nose: White and pink peppercorns with fresh mint. Palate: Cooked agave and sweet spearmint, clean and bright. Finish: Light and crisp.
How to Enjoy
Sip it neat at room temperature to judge the estate, or put the peppercorn-and-mint freshness to work in a Margarita, Ranch Water or Paloma — a blanco with this much green, spicy character seasons the drink itself.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Corralejo Blanco the same as Corralejo Silver? Yes — the brand's US site names this unaged expression "Silver"; Del Mesa lists it as Blanco. Same tequila, same NOM 1368 distillery.
Is it aged at all? No. It is bottled fresh after distillation, which is why the agave, peppercorn and mint notes are so direct.
Where is it made? Hacienda Corralejo, Penjamo, Guanajuato, Mexico — one of the few tequilas produced outside Jalisco, with agave grown on the estate.
Pure estate agave with a peppercorn kick — order Corralejo Blanco from Del Mesa Liquor in San Diego, CA.
