Don Vicente Fuerte Reposado Tequila
Don Vicente Fuerte Reposado Tequila is reposado at full strength: a cask-strength 104-proof (52% ABV) reposado from Maestro Tequilero Felipe J. Camarena at Destilería El Pandillo (NOM 1579), Jesús María, Los Altos de Jalisco — the distillery's first-ever cask-strength reposado, in a limited release — and it is available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor, San Diego, CA.
Made from 100% estate-grown Blue Weber agave: stone/brick-oven cooked, tahona-extracted, fermented open-air in wood and stainless tanks with deep-well water, and distilled in copper pot stills. Rested under 6 months in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, bottled with no dilution and no additives — 750mL of pure, additive-free tequila at barrel strength.
Tasting notes: sweet cooked agave and minerality with light barrel influence — oak, baking spices, caramel, subtle citrus — and a peppery finish. Retailer notes add toasted oak, caramelized sugar, citrus zest, vanilla, white pepper, roasted agave, and toasted almond, with a long, warming, peppery kick.
Why buy the Fuerte? Because cask-strength reposado is almost unheard of — all the agave intensity, the barrel spice, nothing watered down. Browse the tequila collection, the Don Vicente brand collection, and all spirits.
