A Friendship Bottled in Arandas

Siembra Alteño celebrates a friendship that goes back decades: David Suro, the importer behind Siembra Spirits, and Carlos Camarena, the Camarena family's master distiller at La Alteña in Arandas — the distillery behind some of the most respected tequilas ever bottled. Their blanco is old-school Highlands craft: estate agave steamed in brick ovens, pressed by roller mill, and fermented in wooden vats with the distillery's native yeast, bottled at a full 46% so nothing of the agave is lost. Tasting Notes

The brand's notes: sweet agave, floral and prominent green aromas; a palate of sweet agave, citrus and green apple carried by strong floral and buttery notes; and a long, rich finish with cooked agave present the whole way through.

How to Enjoy

Neat at room temperature — at 92 proof this blanco has the body for it. It shines in a Tommy's Margarita, where the pure agave sweetness takes centre stage, or a Paloma, where its citrus brightness meets grapefruit.
