Vines Planted Before the Moon Landing
The Yountville vines at the center of this wine were planted in 1959 — a decade before the Judgment of Paris made the Grgich name famous worldwide. Winemaker Ivo Jeramaz farms all of Grgich's vineyards organically with biodynamic and regenerative practices, and the 2019 vintage brought above-average rainfall, a moderate summer, and a long, even harvest. Tasting Notes
Ripe currants, stewed raspberries, blackberries, coffee, and mint chocolate on the nose; medium-bodied with red and blackberry layers and an herbal lift (critic notes).
