Chava's Still-Strength Agave Bomb
When Salvador Rosales Jr. tasted the high-sugar agave harvest destined for this bottling, he pushed for a still strength release — no dilution, so the agave arrives exactly as the still made it. The result is what the brand calls an "agave bomb": only about 1,500 liters were created, roughly 2,000 bottles for the US, and the house's own tasting copy warns it is a "dangerously easy sipper" despite the 109 proof.
Tasting Notes
Crystal-clear with great viscosity. Light cooked agave with minerality, mint, citrus, and eucalyptus on the nose; the palate brings delicate sweetness, white pepper, anise, honey, and herbal notes over delicious cooked agave. Long, balanced, lingering finish.
How to Enjoy
Neat at room temperature in a blanco tequila tasting — this is a sipper first. If it must mix, a high-proof Ranch Water is the honest serve: soda, lime, and nothing else to hide behind.
