Saison Jamaica Triple Cask Rum

Saison Jamaica Triple Cask Rum is a 46% ABV, 700mL rum made from 100% Jamaican distillates and aged four years across three casks — two years in ex-bourbon casks in Jamaica, then 18 months in medium-grain French oak and a final six months in fine-grain French oak in Jarnac, France — with no sugar added. It is available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor, San Diego, CA.

Saison is the rum project of Distillerie Tessendier & Fils, a Cognac house that applies Cognac blending craft to Caribbean rum. After tropical ageing in Jamaica, the casks cross the Atlantic to the Charentais climate, where Cognac Master Jérôme Tessendier blends the batches by their aromatic profiles — floral, fruity and spicy — rests the blend in medium-grain French oak for lightly roasted, spicy notes, finishes it in fine-grain oak, and reduces it gradually to 46% ABV.

Tasting profile: fresh banana and yellow fruits with a touch of oak on the nose; a soft, full palate of exotic fruit — mango and yellow fruit — with a harmonious, lightly roasted finish. Browse the Saison brand collection, more rum, and the full spirits collection at Del Mesa Liquor.

Serving note: sip neat or with a single cube to let the French-oak finish show, or give a Daiquiri a richer, fruit-forward Jamaican backbone.
