Tequila Cabal Anejo Caballo is a 100% blue agave, additive-free añejo tequila at 40% ABV (80 proof) in a 750mL hand-blown horse-head decanter. Distilled at NOM 1480 — Tequila Las Americas on the family estate of Campo Cabal in Amatitán, Jalisco, where the family has farmed agave since 1911 — it is aged 18 months in oak. Estate agave grown 6–7 years with crop rotation is slow-baked 42 hours in a 32-ton masonry oven built in 1911, roller-mill extracted, naturally fermented for 72 hours, and double-distilled. The Horse-Head Decanter

The bottle is the first thing you notice: an artisanal hand-blown horse-head decanter with a burnished gold seal, a nod to Jalisco's charrería horse culture and an award-winning design. Inside is the estate's añejo — dark amber through the glass, with a nose of oak, caramel, vanilla, spice, herbs, and agave, and a palate of pepper, cinnamon, vanilla, and roasted agave that the brand's tasters call extremely rich and well-balanced with a lingering finish. Tasting Notes

Dark amber. The nose opens with oak, caramel, and vanilla over spice, herbs, and cooked agave. The palate is rich and smooth — pepper and cinnamon giving way to vanilla and roasted agave, with a long, lingering finish.

How to Enjoy

Drink it neat at room temperature in a proper tequila glass — skip the lime and salt, which añejo has outgrown. After the bottle is empty, the hand-blown horse-head decanter earns a permanent place on the shelf.

What is the difference between añejo and reposado tequila?

Reposado ("rested") ages 2 to 12 months in oak and keeps more bright agave character; añejo ages 1 to 3 years, gaining deeper oak, caramel, and spice notes.
