Dos Artes Reserva Especial Añejo — Hand-Painted 1L Decanter

Dos Artes Reserva Especial Añejo is a 100% Blue Weber agave tequila aged in a combination of French and American oak barrels — bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof) in a 1-liter hand-painted ceramic decanter. Each bottle takes several days for artisans to paint, so no two are alike.

Produced at NOM 1466 (Casa Tres Mujeres) in Amatitán, in the lowlands of Jalisco, it starts with estate-grown agave baked in traditional masonry ovens. Extended oak aging gives it a deep amber color and a dessert-driven profile of vanilla, caramel, and butterscotch over a backbone of cooked agave. It is as much a collector's piece as a sipping tequila — a centerpiece bottle that happens to be exceptional inside.

Tasting Notes

  • Nose: Cooked agave and warm vanilla, with caramel, butterscotch, and a touch of cinnamon.
  • Palate: Rich and silky — butterscotch, maple, and dark chocolate over sweet cooked agave and toasted oak.
  • Finish: Long and warming, with lingering vanilla, woody spice, and echoes of agave.
