Dos Artes Doble Barrica Vente Limited Edition Anejo Tequila
Dos Artes Doble Barrica Vente is a limited edition añejo tequila — 40% ABV (80 proof), 1L — made from 100% Blue Weber agave and aged 20 months across two kinds of new oak: French oak and American oak. "Doble Barrica" means double barrel, and the twin new-oak regime gives this añejo a deeper, darker barrel character than a standard single-cask programme. It comes in Dos Artes' signature hand-painted ceramic bottle, each one finished by hand. Available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor.

Two New Barrels, One Añejo
Dos Artes built its name on presentation — litre bottles of hand-painted ceramic that collectors keep long after the tequila is gone. The Doble Barrica Vente puts the same ambition inside the bottle: instead of ageing in the used bourbon barrels that mature most añejos, the spirit spends its 20 months in new oak — French oak for spice and structure, American oak for vanilla and sweetness — a double-barrel regime more common in whisky than in tequila, and one that shows in the glass as a deep amber colour and a pronounced toasted-oak frame around the agave.
Tasting Notes
Deep amber in the glass. Vanilla, caramel, chocolate and toasted oak over sweet cooked agave on the nose; butterscotch, dark chocolate, baking spice, dried fruit and roasted agave on the palate; and a long, warm finish of oak, vanilla and cinnamon.
How to Enjoy
A neat pour is the point — serve it in a stemmed glass at room temperature and give it a few minutes to open. It also makes a luxurious añejo old fashioned; save the bottle for the shelf when it is empty.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does "Doble Barrica" mean? "Double barrel" — this añejo is aged across two types of new oak barrels, French oak and American oak, for 20 months, rather than in a single barrel type.
How long is Dos Artes Doble Barrica Vente aged? 20 months — well beyond the one-year minimum for añejo tequila — in new French and American oak.
Is the Dos Artes bottle really hand-painted? Yes. Dos Artes bottles are ceramic and finished by hand, which is why no two are exactly alike — and why they are kept as display pieces and decanters after the tequila is gone.
