Thirty Years, Mostly in the Dark
When Bruichladdich closed in 1994, the casks distilled in '89, '91, and '92 stayed on Islay, guarded through the silent years until the distillery reopened in 2001. The Thirty is drawn from that surviving stock — a whisky that spent its third decade in fresh bourbon wood to wake it up. Bottled in the distillery's proprietary decanter-style bottle (about 60% recycled glass), it is unpeated Bruichladdich at its most refined.
