Tasting Notes
Maison Ferrand's official notes: a gentle, rich nose of pear, quince jelly and gooseberry with hints of smoky molasses; a rich, delicate palate of clover honey, liquorice, beeswax, vanilla fudge and prune; and a long, lingering finish of cooked apple, tonka bean and dried banana.
How to Enjoy
Sip it neat or over ice first — the three islands take turns. Ferrand's own serves are the Sea-Groni (Sealander, Italian red bitter liqueur and rosso vermouth over ice with orange) and a rum Manhattan build, and it holds up beautifully in a Mai Tai.
