The Story

Tequila Te Amo is distilled from 100% Blue Weber agave grown for eight long years on the fertile volcanic soil of the Amatitan Valley in Jalisco. The valley's mineral-rich earth and the distillery's traditional methods - the NOM 1459 house is known for brick-oven cooking and copper-pot distillation - give the spirit its delicate flavors, balanced aroma and medium body, with a nose-to-mouth balance the brand builds every expression around.

For the Anejo, that spirit rests a full 48 months in a careful blend of American and French oak barrels - four years of slow maturation, well beyond the one-year minimum the anejo class requires - before bottling in the line's signature deep-blue glass.

Tasting Notes

Silky on the palate from the first sip. Opening notes of tobacco and English mint give way to bright orange and dried apple, with the dual-oak aging layering in vanilla, caramel and a gentle spice over the sweet cooked agave core. The finish is long, smooth and warming, with oak and dried fruit carrying through.

How to Enjoy

This is a sipping anejo first: serve it neat or with a single large cube in a stemmed glass and give it a few minutes to open. It also makes a luxurious Tequila Old Fashioned or an anejo Manhattan-style stir. Browse the full range in our anejo tequila collection and the wider tequila shelf.
