This is the seventh release in the Master Blender Collection and the sixth under Master Blender Trudiann Branker (in the role since 2019). It is also a tribute: a dedication to the late Mount Gay distiller Reynold "Blues" Hinds (d. 2021), whose 50+ years of knowledge made the still's revival possible. Mount Gay's Coffey Still — invented by Aeneas Coffey in the early 19th century and one of only three full-copper Coffey Stills still operating in the world — was decommissioned in 1976 and painstakingly recommissioned in 2019; the initial 2019 still run became this release. Just 5,004 bottles were produced worldwide (US SRP $240).
