Highland Park Between You and I 17 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky 2026 is the second chapter of Highland Park's Between You and I series: a limited-edition 17-year-old single malt created by Master Whisky Maker Marc Watson in conversation with Egyptian-American artist and food designer Laila Gohar — bottled at 47.5% ABV (95 proof), non-chill filtered and of natural colour, in this 750mL bottle — and it is available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor, San Diego, CA.
The series asks talents from the worlds of food, art, and fashion to respond to the whisky with their own personal associations instead of receiving pre-written tasting notes. Gohar — a New York-based artist with Egyptian heritage known for playful, surreal food art — tasted the whisky and was taken to her early days in Egypt, the slopes of a volcano, and a courtyard in Andalusia. Her surrealist artwork shaped the bottle's packaging, and an included booklet replaces traditional tasting notes with short vignettes meant to spark the drinker's own imagination.
The whisky itself: 11 years in refill casks, then finished in 100% new American oak casks. Tasting notes (official): orange blossom, warming spice, and leather; independent tastings add rich honey, warm baking spices, and a gentle, sweet campfire smoke over a full-bodied, silky mouthfeel — all wrapped in Highland Park's signature aromatic Orkney peat character.
