Rowan's Creek itself winds through the Willett grounds in Bardstown, named for John Rowan, the Kentucky judge and statesman of the late 1700s. From Willett's tasting notes (by Bill Thomas of Jack Rose Dining Saloon): caramel and vanilla layered over herbal and floral notes on the nose; an oily mouthfeel that finishes dry; sweet caramel and vanilla dusted with floral notes on the palate, closing on oak and lingering spice.
