When Jimmy Russell marked six decades at Wild Turkey — one of the longest master-distiller tenures in American whiskey — his son Eddie answered with the most thoughtful bottle the distillery had released in years. Cherry-picking barrels aged 13 to 16 years, roughly twice the age of flagship Wild Turkey 101, he bottled them very near their natural barrel strength: little or no water was added. The result is a deeper, more oak-driven expression of the Wild Turkey house style on the classic 75% corn / 13% rye / 12% malted barley mash bill.
