Siete Leguas Blanco Tequila is a 700mL unaged blanco bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof), made from 100% blue Weber agave grown in the Jalisco highlands and produced in Atotonilco el Alto by the family-owned Casa Siete Leguas (founded 1952). Unusually, the house blends spirits from its two side-by-side distilleries — tahona-crushed spirit from El Centenario and roller-mill spirit from La Vencedora — into a single blanco with more body than most. It is available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor.

A Blanco Blended From Two Distilleries

Siete Leguas — named for Pancho Villa's horse — has made tequila in Atotonilco el Alto since 1952, and the Blanco is the house style in its purest form: slowly cooked agave, fermented and double-distilled in copper pot stills, with the tahona and roller-mill spirits married before bottling. The house famously produced the original Patron tequila before going fully independent. Explore the house on the Siete Leguas vendor page, or browse our spirits collection.

Tasting Notes

Per the brand: a brilliant, luminous blanco with silvery hues and a powerful body, opening on slowly cooked agave. Specialist tasters add cooked and raw agave with mint and herbs, citrus zest, a floral lift and white pepper over a mineral base, finishing long.

How to Enjoy

Full-bodied enough to sip neat, and a serious base for a Margarita or Paloma where its cooked-agave weight holds up to citrus. More highland blancos are in our spirits collection.
